Long Haul Truck Driver



Amcco Carrier Ltd is hiring five (5) dependable and hardworking Long Haul Truck Drivers to join our expanding team. This position requires regular long-distance travel to deliver goods to multiple destinations. Training is available for qualified applicants.



Responsibilities

• Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport freight between various locations

• Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently

• Use GPS and other navigation systems to plan or adjust routes for improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before departure, during trips, and upon return

• Monitor the vehicle’s overall condition, including brakes, tires, lights, cooling systems, and other essential components

• Keep detailed records of driving hours, mileage, fuel usage, and cargo details

• Relay and receive information from central dispatch as needed

• Adhere to all transportation regulations and company safety procedures



Requirements

• Secondary School.

• Experience is an asset

• Valid Class 1 or Class A Driver’s Licence would be considered an asset.

• Ability to travel frequently or for extended periods

• Ability to complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection reports



Wage: $36.75 per hour for 50 hours per week
