Flooring Installer AT Insta Flooring Ltd.

We are looking for a Floor Installer to join our team of excellent and skilled workers around Nova Scotia who can help our growing and expanding team. We are fully insured, and Nova Scotia licensed professional flooring installation company based in Halifax with over 13 years in the business and we are ecstatic for you to join our team!

Work Location:  132 Rivendale Dr, Beaver Bank, NS, B4G 1G2

Wage: $22.00/hour

Work Hours: Full-time,

Start Date: As Soon As possible.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the area is required.
  • Proven ability to communicate in English is required
  • Ability to tolerate and work with heavy loads and physically demanding work.
  • Ability to tolerate and work with repetitive motions, including bending, crouching, and kneeling for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform all tasks related to flooring: removal, preparation, repair, installation.
  • Ability to work with power tools and related flooring tools.
  • Ability to communicate with clients clearly and smoothly, making sure their needs are met
  • Valid Driver’s License is a plus, but not mandatory.

You will be responsible primarily for the following duties:

  • 1. Remove existing floor coverings and ensure safe and total removal of contaminants.
  • 2. Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered and prepare to floor for installations.
  • 3. Inspect installation materials and tools to ensure safe operation
  • 4. Prepare and safely install hardwood floors.
  • 5. Using tools, safely measure, cut, and fasten flooring underlay and underpadding
  • 6. Safely install decks using vinyl and other materials
  • 7. Inspect and repair damaged floor and floor coverings.
  • 8. Conduct moisture, ph, temperature, and other tests before flooring installations.
  • 9. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure installations are following client needs.
  • 10. Prepare tenders, quotations, and estimate costs and materials.
  • 11. Prepare flooring plans, plan the scheduling of tasks, and other related operations.

You will be working in residential homes and commercial homes as needed.
