Job Description: Child Caregiver – Private Home (Full-Time, Permanent)

We are seeking a caring, reliable, and responsible Child Caregiver to work full-time in our private home in Edmonton, Alberta (T6L area). The caregiver will provide daily care and supervision for children in a safe, nurturing, and non-smoking home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and care for infants and/or children in the home

• Bathe, dress, and feed children

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks

• Sterilize bottles and prepare infant formula

• Follow parents’ guidance with toilet training and discipline

• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development

• Organize age-appropriate activities such as games and outings

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment for children

• Tend to the emotional well-being of children

• Prepare children for rest and nap times

• Travel with the family on trips when required and assist with child supervision and light housekeeping related to childcare

Work Details:

• Location: Employer’s private home (on-site only)

• Hours: 32 to 37.5 hours per week

• Schedule: Morning shifts

• Wage: $20.00 per hour

• Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

• Start Date: As soon as possible

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• Experience is an asset but not mandatory

• CPR and First Aid certification

• Vulnerable Sector Check

• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, reliability, and good organization

Work Environment:

• Non-smoking household

• Work in employer’s home
