Job Title – Truck driver, long haul Location – 584 A Mandalay Dr. Winnipeg, MB R2P 1R1 Work location On site Salary – $30.25 hourly / 35 to 45 hours per week Terms of employment Permanent employment – Full time Starts as soon as possible Vacancies – 2 vacancies Languages – English Education – Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience – 7 months to less than 1 year Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee. There is no option to work remotely. Tasks Professionalism in customer service Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses AZ class license Air Brakes Endorsement Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Trip reports Apply by mail 584 A Mandalay Dr Winnipeg, MB R2P 1R1 or by email – HR@thesilicongroup.com
