Description :
Job Duties :
•Load and unload goods
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle; perform preventive maintenance if required
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Perform actions such as brake adjustments, emergency roadside repairs when required
• Prepare reports and keep record of Cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption and submit these reports to the supervisor
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to receive load and delivery information
• Ensure safety and security of cargo
• Perform inspection of tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment

• Oversee condition of vehicle and use tarp to cover loads when required and necessary
• Address customers complaints and concerns
•Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, sitting for long hours, willing to travel for extended periods
•Documentation Knowledge: Trip reports; Trans-border documentation; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Driver logbook
•Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
•Security and Safety: Valid passport
•Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border; Willing to travel for extended periods;
•Transportation /Travel Experience- Long-haul
