Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a bustling food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, restaurant and food industry experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to provide an outstanding dining experience.

 

Duties

  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

Skills

  • Completion of a college or certificate program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field
  • Or equivalent several years of experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management).
