Now seeking: Small Engine Mechanic

Work Location: Primarily at 1825 Wilson Avenue, Toronto, ON M9M 1A2, with occasional onsite visits as required

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time hours of up to 44 hours per week

Wages and Benefits:

• $36.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills

• Medical and dental benefits available following completion of the probationary period

Requirements:

Post-secondary education in small engine repair, mechanical repair, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
A least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining small engines and construction equipment
Ability to work independently
Steel-toed safety boots required
Driving record and licence validity check

Job Duties:

Inspect and test small engines, motors, and mechanical equipment to diagnose and isolate faults (e.g. generators, compressors, pumps, pressure washers, concrete saws, plate compactors)
Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safe operation
Perform scheduled maintenance service on small engines and construction-related equipment
Review work orders and discuss repair requirements with supervisors and other personnel
Document inspections, tests and repairs
