In-Home Live-Out Caregiver for a Child

POSITION: In-Home, Live-Out Caregiver for a Child

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) – start May 1, 2019

LANGUAGE: English mandatory, Cantonese or French would be an asset

WAGE: $14 per hour

BENEFITS: TTC Metropass

JOB DUTIES:

• General care of toddler, which includes feeding, changing and bathing.
• Teaching toddler: letters, numbers, reading, sharing, cooperating, conversing
• Take toddler to lessons/activities
• Arrange and supervise play dates
• Meal prep for toddler and family members
• Light housekeeping (including laundry and ironing)
• Errands (such as grocery shopping)
• Pet care (feeding and potentially walks)

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in caring for young children
• Vaccinations must be up to date, including flu vaccine
• TB skin test
• Police check
• Vulnerable sector check
• Infant/Child First Aid and CPR
