Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable In-Home Caregiver to provide care for a child with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with developmental and behavioral challenges and be committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment.

Salary
$22.00 to $24.00 hourly (to be negotiated)
60 to 75 hours bi-weekly

Terms of Employment
• Permanent, Full-time
• Start date: September 1, 2026
• Schedule: Early mornings, flexible hours, weekends

• English
Education:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience:
• 1 year to less than 2 years

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Administer medications as directed
• Assist with bathing, hygiene, and personal care
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Supervise and care for child
• Support children with special needs (including autism)
• Assist with homework and daily routines
• Organize activities (games, outings)
• Prepare meals and light housekeeping
• Maintain a safe and healthy home environment
• Accompany child to school and appointments
• Travel with family when required

Credentials (Preferred)
• Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate
• Behaviour Management Certification
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Emergency Childcare First Aid & CPR

Experience & Specialization
• Children (over 13 years old)
• Children with autism
• Intellectual disability
• Behavioural and learning disabilities
• Mental health support

Additional Requirements
