Maritime Inn Antigonish (Suite Home Hotels Inc.) has an opening for Guest Services Manager (NOC 60031) at our location 158 Main Street Antigonish, Nova Scotia B2G 2B7.  If you have what it takes to be successful in this career, then this is right position for you.

As a Guest Services Manager, you will perform all or some of the following duties:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Supervise staff
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies
  • Arrange for and oversee maintenance activities
  • Enforce policies and procedures
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Establish work schedules
  • Manage events
  • Organize and maintain inventory

Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility

Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort

Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Education Qualifications: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent written communication, Flexibility, Initiative, Team player, Judgement, Accurate and Organized

Work Conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
