Finish Carpenter

Description

Magnum Millwork Inc. is seeking experienced Finish Carpenters for permanent, full-time positions for new construction and renovations projects. 

Job Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a finish carpenter on commercial, residential, and institutional projects
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to perform the duties listed
• WHMIS Certificate (training may be provided)
• Steel-toed safety boots
• Valid driver's licence

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
• Work in a millwork/prefabrication shop and perform on-site installation of cabinetry and architectural woodwork in residential and commercial settings
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Supervise other workers
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in hospitals and other establishments
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and compliance with project specifications

Working Conditions:

• Day shifts, some night shifts
• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project requirements
• Various job sites throughout the GTA/Golden Horseshoe and surrounding areas

Language of Work: English

Wage: $36.00 per hour

Hours: 32 to 44 hours per week
