Salary: $26.00 hourly / 45 to 50 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: At least 1 year experience

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Odours, Wet/damp, Dairy, Dirty

Work setting: Rural area, Public transportation is not available

Area of specialization: Dairy cattle

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently, Work under pressure, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Large workload

Job Duties

·         Milk cows

·         Handling animals

·         Monitoring animal health, Treat livestock health issues

·         Feed and tend animals

·         Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs

·         Formulate feeding program

·         Maintain livestock performance records, Maintain quality control and production records, Maintain work records and logs

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Milking system (automated), Storage and silage system, Tractor, Farm truck

·         Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens

·         Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

.         Perform general farm duties
