Description

We are looking for a well-experienced Corporate Chef for a well-known events and catering firm, Paramount Eventspace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Rd, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9T2 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Coordinate and supervise food preparation activities within the assigned kitchen section for corporate events, banquets, and large-scale functions, ensuring timely execution and adherence to event schedules.
  • Prepare and cook high-volume menu items for corporate functions, conferences, and private events, including sauces, pastas, proteins, and accompaniments using established culinary techniques.

  • Execute event-specific menus according to pre-approved plans, ensuring consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across large guest volumes.

  • Work closely with the senior kitchen team to prepare for corporate events, including advance mise en place, batch preparation, and service coordination.

  • Monitor food quality and service flow during live corporate event operations, making real-time adjustments within the assigned section to meet service timelines.

  • Estimate and organize ingredient and preparation requirements for the assigned section based on event size, menu specifications, and service format (buffet, plated, or live stations).

  • Support inventory management for event-based production, including checking stock levels, preparing requisitions, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients for large-scale functions.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards across event kitchens, temporary setups, and off-site corporate venues.

  • Guide and support junior kitchen staff and helpers during corporate event preparation and service, ensuring smooth coordination within the section.

 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Experience & Skills: 3 years to 5 years experience preferably in the Food industry

Language: English


 

Hourly Wage: $36 to $38 for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
