Carpenter
We are currently hiring Carpenter for iHome Prestige Luxury located at 6 Coldbrook Drive Millbrook, ON L0A 1G0 Canada. However you may be required to work at various locations within the region.

Job Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine layout requirements and ensure accurate execution of carpentry work.

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood and other materials for structural framing, exterior structures, and finishing components.

Prepare layouts using measuring tools, levels, and other equipment to establish reference points and ensure precision in construction activities.

Survey building locations, elevations, and levels using appropriate tools and layout equipment to ensure accuracy in construction.

Perform repair, renovation, and restoration work, including specialized work such as sealing, staining, chinking/caulking, wood repairs, and refinishing.

Participate in demolition, structural modifications, and renovation work while ensuring safe and efficient execution of tasks.

Inspect completed and ongoing work to ensure structural alignment, accuracy of installation, and compliance with applicable building codes and company standards.

Estimate material quantities and associated costs, and communicate requirements to ensure availability of tools, equipment, and supplies for assigned tasks.

Maintain basic records related to measurements, materials used, and work progress as required.

Ensure adherence to workplace safety regulations, building codes, and company policies at all stages of construction.

Assist in scheduling and coordinating carpentry activities on job sites to support efficient workflow and timely completion of project phases.

Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices by demonstrating proper carpentry techniques and safe use of tools and equipment.

Lead specific work activities on-site as required, ensuring tasks are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Monitor job-site conditions, identify technical issues, and propose practical solutions to maintain productivity and workmanship quality.

Communicate progress updates, material needs, and site-related concerns to management as required.
Requirements
Education: – Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
Experience & Skills: – 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in Carpentry or equivalent
Language: – English
Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4% Vacation pay
