Automotive Service Technician

We are looking for a well experienced Automotive Service Technician for “Richmond Hill Toyota” located at 11240 Yonge St Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1K9, Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Inspect vehicle operations, conduct road tests, and use advanced diagnostic equipment, including dealership-approved systems, to identify mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.

  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems, using manufacturer-approved procedures and parts.

  • Test, calibrate, and adjust repaired systems to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  • Perform factory-scheduled maintenance, warranty repairs, and recall-related service efficiently to support dealership service volume and minimize customer wait times.

  • Estimate parts and labour requirements for mechanical repairs and accurately document diagnostic findings, repair steps, and completed work within the dealership management system.

  • Review work orders with the Shop Foreman or Service Manager and communicate repair findings, completed work, and future maintenance requirements to Service Advisors and customers.

  • Coach and instruct junior apprentices, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, dealership repair standards, and proper use of diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Provide customer service by supporting accurate communication, efficient repairs, and timely vehicle servicing. 

 

Prerequisites:

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years

Language: English


Certificate Required: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification


Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $40.00 per Hour for 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
