The TCS Group is a reputable provider of scaffolding solutions, and a manufacturer of aluminum equipment and steel pre-engineered buildings and structural steel and miscellaneous metals to the construction industry.

With 2 locations including a head office in Newmarket Ontario, the TCS Group has been providing services since 2010 and is proudly recognized as a provider of custom manufacturing and scaffolding solutions in the region.

The TCS Group is currently looking for 2 CNC plasma cutting machine operators  to join their team based out of East Gwillimbury Ontario.  The Operators will be mainly responsible to set-up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines for repetitive machining work.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Operate and monitor CNC robotic plasma cutting machines for precision cutting of structural steel, H-beams, channels, and custom metal components.
* Program and optimize cutting paths using Python-based automation systems, CNC software, and machine control interfaces.
* Perform machine setup, calibration, tooling changes and material alignment to ensure accurate production.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD files, and production specifications.
* Create, modify, and troubleshoot cutting programs to improve efficiency, quality, and material utilization.
* Conduct first-piece inspections and verify dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments.
* Adjust machine parameters such as cutting speed, amperage, torch height, and gas settings for different material types and thicknesses.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programming issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
* Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality control teams to meet manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.
* Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventive inspections on robotic plasma cutting equipment.
* Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
* Maintain accurate production records, program revisions, and machine performance documentation.
 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·       Secondary school education is required.

·       Minimum 1 year of CNC plasma or Machine Operator work experience is required.

·       Work independently without close supervision

·       Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work.

·       Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.

·       Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
