Key Responsibilities

• Establish methods and procedures to meet daily work schedules.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in preparing and portioning food.
• Establish and maintain employee work schedules.
• Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Ensure food preparation and service meet established quality control standards.
• Address customers' complaints, concerns and service-related issues professionally.
• Supervise and check the assembly of food trays and orders.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities to ensure smooth and efficient food service operations.
• Provide guidance and direction to food service staff as required.

Supervision

The successful candidate will supervise approximately 3–4 employees, including:

• Food service counter attendants and food preparers
• Kitchen and food service helpers

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Language: English
• Previous experience in a food service environment is an asset.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate daily food service activities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, noisy and hot food service environment.
