NOW HIRING: FLAT ROOFERS

Terms of Employment:

• Permanent, full-time
• Hourly rate: $37.00 to $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
• Health benefits through a group health plan

Hours of Work:

• Between 32 and 44 hours per week
• Flexibility is an asset

Requirements:

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a commercial flat roofer
• Able to handle weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Must be bondable
• Clean driving record check (abstract)
• Safety certificates (training provided):
  • Working at Heights training
  • WHMIS Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
• Steel-toed safety boots

Language of Work:

• English

Duties:

• Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
• Repair roofing systems
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level
• Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools
• Install sheet metal flashings
• Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms

• Conventional and inverted built-up system
• Modified roofing system
• Rigid pre-formed roofing system
• Single-ply sheet membrane roofing system
