Obstetrician Gynecologist

Scope of Responsibilities As a Generalist Obstetrician Gynecologist, you will provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including:

Obstetrics

• Providing prenatal care to pregnant women
• Delivering postpartum care for mothers
• Monitoring the health and well-being of both mother and baby
• Educating patients on pregnancy-related topics

Gynecology

• Conducting routine gynecological exams and screenings (e.g., Pap smears)
• Diagnosing and treating conditions of the female reproductive system, including infections, menstrual disorders, and cancers
• Performing surgical procedures related to reproductive organs, including laparoscopic surgeries
• Prescribing medications and treatments
• Offering family planning and contraception counseling

General Responsibilities

• Taking patient medical histories and conducting physical examinations
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Educating patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and women's health topics
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
• Participating in the on-call rotation for obstetrical and gynecological services
• Staying current with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology
• Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standards
