Description
We are looking for experienced Food Service Managers for Ma-Ro Catering located at 31 Railside Rd, #3, North York, ON M3A 1B2, Canada. As well as various locations in the region.

JOB DUTIES:

Oversee day-to-day operations of Maro Catering’s kitchen, production, and delivery workflows to ensure efficient and timely execution of catered events.

Plan, organize, and supervise food preparation for weddings, corporate events, private functions, and off-site catering services.

Develop and implement service standards, event-specific operating procedures, and quality controls aligned with catering industry best practices.

Coordinate menu planning with culinary teams, ensuring offerings meet client expectations, dietary needs, and current market trends.

Manage staffing requirements by recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and evaluating kitchen, service, and event personnel.

Monitor employee performance during event setups, service execution, and tear-down to maintain consistency and professionalism.

Maintain inventory of food, beverages, and event-related supplies; review usage patterns and approve procurement of goods.

Negotiate pricing and supply contracts with food vendors, rental suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize cost efficiency.

Address client concerns or service issues promptly during event planning and execution to safeguard customer satisfaction and brand reputation.

Implement quality improvement measures, including kitchen workflow optimization and event service enhancements.

Coordinate equipment logistics, including transportation, setup, and maintenance of catering gear for off-site events.

Lead post-event evaluations to assess service delivery, identify operational gaps, and inform continuous improvement initiatives.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in Hospitality Industry
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $36 to $38 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
