Position: Sous-chef (NOC 6321)
Vacancy: 1
Working Hours: 40hr/week, 5days a week, may have to work overtime if needed Wage: $17.00~$19.00 depending on experience
Benefit: 4% Vacation pay, Dental and Extended medical insurance will be available after 6months at full time hours, and Company discount program will be provided after 3 months of employment

Main duties

• Help in the preparation and design of menu items
• Produce high quality plates, focusing on appearance, taste, and structure
• Guide teams in informing, engaging and inspiring our clients with superior knowledge of the
menu, ingredients and suppliers
• Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
• Plan schedules and supervise activities of chefs, line cooks and other kitchen workers
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Lead teams in consistently and efficiently preparing dishes to the highest culinary standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Lead teams in managing food inventory to maximize efficiency and minimize food waste

Employment Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• 2 – 3 years of cook experience in commercial kitchens, supervisory experience may be
required
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
