Terms of Employment: Seasonal full-time employment from April to November annually. Relocation to northwestern Ontario is required for the operating season; schedule includes regular daytime hours with occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support as needed.

Wage: $24 – $25/ hour

 

Hours per week: 32

Education: No Degree Certificate or Diploma

 

Work Experience: 7 Months To Less Than 1 Year

 

Job Duties: 

🔧 Perform routine general building maintenance and minor repairs in guest and staff facilities.

🛠️ Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, fixtures, and installations to help prevent breakdowns.

🚿 Assist with plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical or equipment troubleshooting as required.

🚨 Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent issues to support safe, comfortable operations.

🧹 Carry out seasonal property upkeep, including grounds-related tasks and site clean-up as needed.

📋 Complete basic maintenance logs, report hazards, and communicate follow-up work to the supervisor.

🤝 Work with other resort staff to support guest service standards and smooth day-to-day operations.

❄️ Travel/relocate to northwestern Ontario for the seasonal operating period from April to November each year.

🛠️ Must have own basic tools 

🤝 Help other departments as needed and complete other duties as required.

 

Job Requirements: 

🎓 Secondary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

⏳ Previous experience in building maintenance, general repairs, or a related hands-on role is required.

💪 Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb ladders, and work in varied weather and outdoor conditions.

🛠️ Basic knowledge of tools, maintenance equipment, and safe work practices.

👀 Good attention to detail to identify hazards, defects, and maintenance priorities.

🤝 Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.

🚗 Willingness to relocate to Sioux Narrows, Ontario from March to December annually.

🗣️ English communication skills are required to follow instructions and report issues clearly.

☀️ Able to work in all weather conditions.

🎁 Willing to work weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays.
