Title of position: Accounting Bookkeeper

 

Number of Positions: 1

 

Starting Immediately

 

Terms of Employment: Year Round

 

Wage: 25.75/hour

 

Hours (each week): 32

 

Language Requirements: English

 

Job Duties:

<p>Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems</p><p>Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements<br>Track employees overtime</p><p>Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills<br>Prepare bank deposits as required </p><p>Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents<br>Invoice customers as requested and when required </p><p>Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services</p><p>Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports<br>Other duties that apply. </p>

 

Job Requirements:

<p>Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field at a minimum <br>Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience is required  <br>Work well independently and part of a team <br>Strong retention of information <br>Computer skills and bookkeeping ADAGIO software experience is an asset<br>Willing to work all days of the week including holidays </p><p>Strong math skills and attention to details </p><p>Strong communicator <br>MS office experience is required <br></p>

 

Years of Experience:

3 Years to less than 5 Years

 

Education:

College, CEGEP, or other Non-University Certificate or Diploma from a program of One Year to Two Years
