Maintenance person – building

Description

JOB DUTIES:

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the building’s interior and exterior areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and service areas.
Inspect and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure proper operation.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from various departments to minimize downtime.
Repair or replace fixtures such as lights, faucets, locks, door handles, tiles, and drywall.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance workshop and ensure tools and materials are stored safely.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the life of equipment and building systems.
Assist in setting up, assembling, or moving furniture and equipment as needed for operations or events.
Maintain landscaping, walkways, and outdoor areas to ensure the property remains clean, safe, and attractive.
Monitor building safety systems, including alarms and fire suppression equipment, and report any malfunctions immediately.
Keep maintenance logs and record all repairs, replacements, and service activities.
Follow all safety and environmental regulations, and use protective gear and equipment when necessary.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience.

Experience & Skills: 5 years or more experience in building and facility maintenance within luxury hotels and resorts

Language: English

Hourly Rate: $28.85 hourly for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
