Work Location: Calgary, Alberta (Work on client job site)

Job Summary

JLM Empowered Electrical Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Construction Electrical Helper to assist electricians with electrical installation and construction-related activities at residential, commercial, and/or industrial job sites.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of electricians and supervisors and will assist with the preparation, installation, handling, and organization of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Construction Electrical Helper will be responsible for:

• Assisting electricians with electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Helping install and secure electrical wiring, cables, boxes, conduit, and related components.
• Pulling, feeding, routing, and organizing electrical wires and cables.
• Assisting with the installation of electrical fixtures, devices, equipment, and other components.
• Preparing tools, materials, and equipment required for electrical work.
• Loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing electrical materials and equipment.
• Measuring, cutting, drilling, fastening, and performing other basic construction tasks as directed.
• Using hand tools and basic power tools safely and appropriately.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Following instructions provided by electricians, supervisors, and project managers.
• Following all applicable workplace health and safety requirements.
• Assisting with general construction and job-site duties as required.
• Working cooperatively with electricians, contractors, and other construction trades.

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is an asset.
• Previous construction or electrical helper experience is an asset
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an asset.
• Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Physically capable of performing construction-related duties, including lifting and carrying materials.
• Ability to work on construction sites and at heights where required.
• A valid driver's license is an required

Employment Conditions

• Wage: $24.00 per hour
• Hours: [40] hours per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday with 8 hours work day
• Overtime: As required and paid in accordance with applicable employment standards.
• Vacation: In accordance with applicable provincial employment standards.
