European Meats & Deli is a renowned, three-generation family-owned butcher shop located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. We specialize in premium, locally produced European-style smoked and cooked deli products, high-quality steaks, select cheeses, imported specialty items, and custom meat processing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trim beef and pork from wholesale cuts for processing
- Grind, season, and prepare meat for sausage production
- Smoke sausages, bacon, and other cured meat products
- Cut ham, pork chops, and other meat products using a band saw for retail display
- Vacuum-pack meat products for distribution to retail locations
- Perform general meat processing, preparation, and packaging duties as required
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school may be required
- On-the-job training is provided for industrial butchers, meat cutters and poultry preparers
