North Paddock Farms Ltd. an irrigated crop farm located at 93080 Range Road 165, Taber, AB T1G 2C6 is seeking a Farm Systems Technician (Irrigation/Equipment/Maintenance). English speaking workplace. Rural Area. Permanent, full-time.

Wage: $25.00/hour
Annual performance review conducted in January

Experience: 2 years plus experience
Education: High School

Duties: Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems, farm equipment, and electrical components while taking responsibility for key systems across the farm.
-Maintain and repair farm irrigation systems
-Troubleshoot pumps, motors, equipment wiring and water systems
-Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
-Maintain and repair farm equipment and machinery.
-Operate farm equipment and machinery
-Diagnose mechanical problems and implement solutions
-Keep maintenance and repair records
-Delivery of harvested crops.
-Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
-Perform general farm duties as required.

Skill:
-Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
-Basic electrical knowledge (motors, wiring, switches)
-Ability to diagnose equipment problems
-Ability to work independently
-Good problem-solving skills
-Valid driver’s license (class 3 or 1 an asset)

Bonus skills:
-irrigation system experience
-Agricultural or farm work experience
-Diesel Engine or tractor maintenance

Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to work weekends and the occasional Sunday.
