Farm Supervisor
Second Pick Fruit Product, located in Abbotsford, is looking to hire a Farm Supervisor for our blueberry farm.
The supervisor will have these responsibilities:
• Check and monitor for pests such as worms, moths, caterpillars, snails, and slugs.
• Watch for poorly drained areas.
• Ensure the irrigation lines are working and monitor the irrigation schedules.
• Monitor for weeds and control as needed
• Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers
• Supervise the growing and harvesting operations of the fruits
• Make work schedules for the farm workers
• Report the quantity of the fruits harvested by weight
• Train general farm workers on farm duties
• Other general farm duties as assigned.
The supervisor will have these skills:

Must have at least 1 year of farming experience; fruit farming experience is an asset.

Will work year-round under different weather conditions.

May have to handle heavy loads
Salary: $22.00/per hour
Hours per week: full-time. 40 hours per week. year-round
