Description
-Van Iron Farms Ltd., located at 111032 Range Road 204, Iron Springs, AB T0K 1G0 is seeking two Dairy Herdsperson. Permanent Full-time. English speaking workplace. Rural Area.
Wage: $23.00/hour
Education: Basic
Experience: 3 years
Duties: Operate and maintain automated milking systems and ensure sanitation and biosecurity protocols are followed. Record milk yields. Follow feeding programs, operate feed mixers and tractors to distribute feed and ensure a constant supply of clean water. Cleaning and maintenance of barns, stalls and manure handling. Monitor cattle for illness and injuries. Treat health issues. Handle cattle. Provide agricultural crop services – plowing, irrigating, spraying and harvesting. General Farm duties as required.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to work early morning and on weekends, including Sundays.
