Child Caregiver – Private Home

Private household, Bradford, L3Z 0S7 ON. We are looking for a reliable person to care for our minor son, 7, in the setting of our home. The caregiver would:
Supervise and care for our son in the setting of our home; Assist and supervise him with dressing, manners and healthy eating habits, instruct him in personal hygiene and social development; Prepare and serve nutritious meals and prepare him for rest periods; Read to him; Keep records of daily activities and tend to emotional well-being; Help our son with homework;
Bring him from school, but sometimes you will be required to take him to school as well; Organize activities such as games and outings; Prepare craft materials and assist our son to use them; Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; Discipline our son according to the methods requested by the parents; Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; Travel with us on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties; and assume full responsibility for our household in absence of parents.
Experience: 1 to less than 2 years
Education: Completion of high school or equivalent experience
Child’s Age: school age (6-12)
Security and Safety: Reference required, criminal record check
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is not available (limited); Relocation paid by employer
Work location: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Room and board provided
Work site environment: Non-smoking
Credentials: First aid certificate

Salary: $14.00 per hour; 30 to 35 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time; Tuesdays – Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
