Job Duties:
🐝 Care for honeybee colonies through routine inspections, feeding, and seasonal husbandry.
🚜 Move bees into and out of pollination fields safely and on schedule.
🦠 Monitor hive health, identify signs of disease or pests, and follow treatment plans.
🍯 Assist with honey harvesting, extraction, and handling of honey supers.
🛠️ Repair and maintain bee equipment, vehicles, and related tools.
📋 Keep accurate beekeeping, treatment, and production records.
🧼 Clean and sanitize extraction and work areas to required standards.
👥 Support training and supervision of new employees as needed.
🌙 Work some evenings and weekends during peak season and urgent hive work.
Job Requirements:
⏳ Minimum 3 years of experience in a Canadian commercial apiary is an asset and 1 year is required.
🚗 Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate farm and apiary vehicles safely.
💪 Good physical condition for heavy lifting, repetitive work, and outdoor labour.
👀 Strong visual attention to assess colony condition and detect bee health issues.
🗣️ English language proficiency for safe communication and workplace coordination.
🛠️ Practical mechanical skills for basic equipment repair and maintenance.
🤝 Reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
