We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Building Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will help maintain the safety, functionality, and overall condition of our hotel facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for the following duties:
- Perform minor adjustments and repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact qualified tradespersons for major repairs.
- Coordinate with contractors and external service providers for building repairs and maintenance.
- Inspect and perform minor repairs on appliances, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety and security checks throughout the property.
- Perform routine building maintenance, including painting, drywall repairs, and other general repairs.
- Carry out daily inspections of building systems to identify maintenance issues and ensure proper operation.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as required.
- Assist with supervising other workers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained working environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and respond to routine maintenance requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Secondary (high) school certificate.
- Between 1 and less than 7 months of relevant work experience.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
- Ability to handle heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies safely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organized, and attentive to safety and detail.
