Description
A family residing in Coquitlam, BC V3J 5T4 is seeking a Child Caregiver to work in a private household.
Position: Child Caregiver – Private Home
Vacancy: 1
Wage: CAD$ 20.00 per hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~40 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Supervise and care for the child in the employer’s home.
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child’s care.
• Oversee the child’s daily routines, including meals, homework, and extracurricular activities, as directed by the parents.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment in the home.
• Encourage good personal hygiene and healthy habits.
• Support the child’s emotional well-being and encourage positive social development.
• Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents.
• Organize and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities such as games, crafts, reading, outdoor activities, and outings.
• Accompany the child to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities as required.
• Keep parents informed of the child’s daily activities, behavior, and any health-related concerns.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Minimum 6 months of child care experience or completion of a training program in child care or a related field is required;
• Criminal record clearance is required.
• Language at work: English
