Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week

Work Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Wage: $26.00 per hour

Start Date: As soon as possible

Number of Vacancies: 2

Benefits: 6% vacation pay

Aslan Tile and Stone is a Calgary-based professional contractor specializing in full-scope tile and flooring installations for various residential, commercial, and condo projects.

Job Duties

• Clean, scrape, and level subfloors or wall surfaces before tile setters begin laying tiles
• Load, unload, and transport tiles, marble, granite, mortar, adhesives, and tile-cutting equipment to job sites and work areas
• Blend and mix mortar, mastic, thin-set, and grout to the required consistency under supervisor direction
• Tend tile cutters or wet saws, and pass measured tiles, spacers, and tools to tile setters during installation
• Clean excess grout and mortar from tile surfaces, and assist in applying sealants or protective finishes
• Remove damaged tiles, rubble, old flooring, and construction debris, maintaining a safe and tidy work area

Requirements

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: Experience in tile installation assistance or relevant experience is an asset, but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
• Language: English
• Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail
• Work Location Information: Work locations may vary; willingness to travel to various jobsites within the Metro Calgary Area is required
