Position: Home Health Care Worker (Full-Time, Permanent)

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Home Health Care Worker to provide in-home care for an adult male with a disability in North York, Ontario. The successful candidate will work 30–40 hours per week in a non-smoking home environment, with an optional live-in accommodation available at no charge (live-in is not a condition of employment).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide bedside and personal care.
  • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
  • Support the client's daily mobility and regular exercise, including walking.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to the client's needs.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
  • Assist the client with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 2 years of relevant caregiving experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Reliable, punctual, organized, dependable, and able to demonstrate initiative.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $18.00–$18.50 per hour.
  • Hours: 30–40 hours per week.
  • Employment type: Permanent, full-time.
  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Optional live-in accommodation is available at no charge but is not a requirement of employment.
