On site:  Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Review work orders, drawings and layout instructions to determine the required materials, dimensions and installation methods.
• Inspect installation areas and prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, repairing and ensuring they are suitable for finished stone and tile applications.
• Take accurate measurements and transfer dimensions to work surfaces to establish proper placement, spacing and alignment.
• Select, handle and prepare marble pieces according to project specifications, patterns and required measurements.
• Measure, mark and shape marble pieces to accommodate corners, edges, openings, fixtures and other site conditions.
• Operate appropriate hand and power tools to cut, shape, drill and adjust marble pieces for accurate fitting.
• Prepare and apply suitable bonding materials, mortar, adhesives and setting compounds according to the type of surface and installation requirements.
• Position and secure marble pieces on floors, walls, countertops, backsplashes, stairs and other designated surfaces while maintaining proper alignment.
• Check installed pieces using levels, squares, straightedges and measuring tools to maintain consistent lines, elevations and spacing.
• Install decorative borders, trim pieces and accent sections to complete specified layouts and design patterns.
• Apply grout or other joint-filling materials between installed pieces and carefully clean finished surfaces to remove excess material.
• Perform finishing work, including smoothing, edge treatment and polishing, to achieve the required appearance and surface quality.
• Adjust fitted pieces where necessary to accommodate plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, cabinetry, doorways and other obstructions.
• Inspect completed installations for uneven joints, gaps, movement, surface imperfections or other deficiencies and complete necessary corrective work.
• Maintain and safely use tools, equipment and work areas while following applicable workplace safety procedures and handling materials appropriately.
