Wages:                       $26.00 per hour, 30-50 hours a week

ISR Gardening Inc. is currently looking for a Construction Labourer to join their team based out of Thornhill Ontario.  The Construction Labourer is responsible to assist skilled tradespersons and perform labouring activities at job sites.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Load and unload various materials, and move materials to work areas

·      Erect and dismantle concrete forms, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at landscaped sites

·      Mix and spread materials such as soils and concrete

·      Assist landscaping, paving and other trades on sites

·      Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities

·      Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel

·      Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

·      Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed

·      Direct traffic at or near job sites

·      Spread topsoil, lay sod, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees and perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape structures;

·      Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments;

·      Participate in company safety training.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·      1 to 2 years of experience as Construction Labourer is preferred.

·      Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner;

·      Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
