Job Summary:

 

Freshii Hunt Club Rd is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and uphold our commitment to fresh, fast, and healthy dining. The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading staff, optimizing workflows, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to supervise and motivate teams, and a solid understanding of food service operations. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on leadership, problem‑solving abilities, and a passion for maintaining high standards in service, quality, and compliance. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic fast‑casual environment while contributing to the continued success of our Hunt Club location.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations of the Freshii restaurant to ensure efficient service and adherence to brand standards.
  • Analyze budgets and financial performance to boost and maintain restaurant profitability.
  • Monitor daily revenues to determine labour costs and adjust staffing or procedures as needed.
  • Evaluate daily operations and implement workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire staff; oversee onboarding, training, and continuous skill development.
  • Set and manage staff work schedules, supervise team members, and monitor performance through regular coaching and performance reviews.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff to maintain high service quality and operational consistency.
  • Cost menu items, products, and services to support pricing strategies and profitability goals.
  • Organize, maintain, and control inventory, including ordering, receiving, and tracking supplies and fresh ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food‑handling regulations as required by Ontario public health authorities.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and uphold Freshii’s service standards.
  • Participate in marketing plans, promotions, and local store marketing initiatives to increase customer traffic and sales.
  • Manage and coordinate catering orders, small events, and special requests, ensuring smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers for food items, beverages, and operational supplies.
  • Monitor food costs, labour costs, and waste levels; adjust procedures and pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure cleanliness, equipment functionality, and adherence to operational standards through regular inspections.

Technical & Operational Knowledge

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health compliance requirements in Ontario
  • Understanding of inventory control, ordering procedures, and cost‑management practices
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic cash‑handling procedures
  • Ability to monitor revenues, labour costs, and food costs to support profitability
  • Experience implementing operational procedures and workflow improvements
  • Knowledge of supplier coordination and procurement processes
  • Understanding of customer service protocols and complaint resolution

 

Requirements:

Proficiency in English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience

Work must be completed on site at the restaurant, no remote option

 

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting when required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining Freshii brand standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
