VanEssen Enterprise Ltd. near Coaldale, AB. requires 1 full-time Supervisor to perform the following duties on their feedlot and poultry farms:

 

Job details

Locations: NW 33-9-19 W4 Coaldale, AB, T1M 1M7 & SE 13-10-23-W4, Coalhurst, AB, T0L 0V0

Salary: $23.00 hourly / 50 to 55 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, Chicken farming, Poultry and egg production, Grain, oil and forage crop, Dusty, Hot, Noisy, Odours

Work setting: Rural area
Supervision: 1 to 2 people

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Large workload

Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication, Organized, Team player

 

Job Duties

·         Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers

·         Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs

·         Diagnose livestock health issues, Monitoring animal health, Treat livestock health issues

·         Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Egg gathering system, Feeding and watering system, Farm truck

·         Handling animals

·         Select livestock for sale

·         Formulate feeding program

·         Maintain livestock performance records

·         Maintain quality control and production records

·         Maintain work records and logs

·         Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

          Perform general farm duties
