The Prince George Knights Society. dba Teeter Tots Early Learning Center in Prince George, BC is looking for a Full-Time, Permanent Early Childhood Educator.
Conditions
- Position: Early Childhood Educator (NOC 42202)
- Full-time, Permanent Position, 35-40 hours per week (shifted schedule)
- Hourly Wage: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour (wage to be determined based on experience and skills)
- Vacation: 4% of vacation fee or 10 days of paid vacation
- Benefit: Medical, Group insurance, Life insurance, Vision care (After 90 probationary period)

Requirements
- Previous work experience in child care is an asset
- Education: College Diploma in early childhood education or Bachelor’s Degree in child development is required
- Credentials: First Aid Certificate, ECE (Early Childhood Educator) Certificate
- Criminal Record Check
- Language: English
Job Duties
- Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- Lead activities and engage children by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, demonstrating the use of simple musical instruments, and preparing crafts
- Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents, and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
