Salary: $23.80 hourly / 40 to 50 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, Evening, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime required, Overtime available

Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting environment: Outdoors, Dusty, Odours, Dairy, Dirty
Work setting: Rural area, Public transportation is not available

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently, Work under pressure, Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Large workload

Personal suitability: Organized, Team player, Reliability

Job Duties

• Milk cows
• Perform livestock feeding, Feed and tend animals, Formulate feeding program, Track and report on current feed inventory
• Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs
• Reading milk production records, Maintain work records and logs
• New born calf care
• Clean barnyards and pens, and do bedding using farm machinery
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, Automated manure handling or storage system, Feeding and watering system, Harvesters, Milking system (automated), Tractor, F arm truck, Haying equipment, Loader, Planting equipment, Swather, Skidsteer, Hand tools, Bulk grain or feed handling – automated, Manure handling and storage
• Occasional fieldwork ie. Silaging, haying, harvesting
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Perform general farm duties
