Responsibilities

• Provide care and companionship to clients in their own homes
• Administer personal care to clients and assist in the activities of daily living such as aid in ambulation, eating, toileting, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
• Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients
• Perform routine health-related duties such as changing simple nonsterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications collecting specimens under the general direction of the company’s supervisor or nurse
• Make beds and maintain clients’ residence which may include light housekeeping duties including but not limited to laundry, making beds, dusting, bathromm and kitchen cleaning, vacuuming
• Supervise clients exercise routines, set up and provide leisure activities, accompany clients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties as related to clients care and comfort
• Provide to clients with various levels of care needs Provide cognitive and social support
• Document reports for client on their plan of care and any changes in the behaviour of daily routines
• Other routine duties that assist with activities of daily living
