Long Haul Truck Drivers
Friends Group Logistics, a transportation company based in Timmins, ON, is seeking 3 Long-Haul Truck Drivers to join our team. The drivers must have completed secondary school, be able to communicate in English, and hold a valid driver’s licence or be able to obtain a Class 1 driver’s licence. Previous experience as a long-haul truck driver will be considered an asset.
Here are the driver's responsibilities:
– Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer units, long-combination vehicles, and straight-body trucks weighing over 4,500 kg to transport goods and materials over long distances.
– Adhere to the DOT safety regulations
– Conduct routine inspections before departure to ensure the vehicle is safe and in good condition.
– Ensure that cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety regulations.
– Maintain accurate records and coordinate with the dispatcher to provide updates.
– Manage bills of lading and maintain electronic logs
– May perform emergency roadside repairs.
– May drive as part of a two-person team.
Wages: $36.00/hr for 50 hrs per week
