Symposium Café Restaurant & Lounge located at 58 King George Road, Brantford, ON, N3R 5K4 is looking for 1 Assistant Manager- Food Services for a full-time and permanent position. The wage is $34.07 per hour and work will be 30 hours- 35 hours per week. (Even though this is a full-time position, part-time job seekers are encouraged to apply).


Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and evaluate daily restaurant operations
  • Adjust food preparation methods and menu prices to align with budget constraints
  • Monitor, train, and supervise staff to ensure high performance
  • Plan, organize, and manage staff schedules and daily workflows
  • Recruit and onboard new team members
  • Maintain inventory and ensure proper stock levels
  • Enforce health and safety regulations
  • Manage supplier agreements for food and supplies
  • Address customer complaints and concerns promptly
  • Negotiate catering and facility usage with clients

Education  and Experience Requirements:
 

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
