This position contributes to Olimpia Construction Ltd. by being responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient application of stucco materials in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and company standards. The Metal Fabricator ensures that all work meets required quality standards, project timelines, and safety regulations while maintaining and properly using tools and equipment. Workers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner when interacting with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and other trades at all times

 

Qualifications:

•          Completion of secondary school is required.

•          Minimum of 1 year of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related manufacturing/construction environment.

•          Demonstrated knowledge of fabrication materials, methods, and equipment, including cutting, forming, and welding processes.

•          Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical instructions.

•          Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

•          Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and repetitive tasks.

•          Ability to work at heights 10-12 meters, in both indoor and outdoor environments.

•          Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

•          Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

 

 

Responsibilities:

•          Interpret and analyze blueprints, shop drawings, and technical instructions to determine fabrication requirements.

•          Review project specifications and ensure all work meets client and project requirements.

•          Measure, mark, cut, and form metal materials using hand tools and fabrication equipment.

•          Perform welding to assemble and join metal components.

•          Develop layouts and fabrication plans to ensure efficient production and material usage.

•          Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.

•          Inspect materials and completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

•          Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including drill presses, grinders, and edge planers.

•          Conduct in-process and final quality control checks to ensure accuracy and workmanship.

•          Prepare basic reports related to completed work and production progress.

•          Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to meet project timelines.

•          Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

•          Adhere to all company safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
