About the Role


MaxSpace Stone Works Incorporated is seeking a Drafting Technician to support its construction team in preparing detailed drawings, design sketches, and documentation packages for building and construction projects. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using CAD software in a fast-paced, on-site environment.


Key Responsibilities


The Drafting Technician will be responsible for:
• Preparing detailed drawings and design sketches using CAD software
• Reading blueprints and technical documents to determine project requirements
• Completing documentation packages and drawing sets
• Examining drawings for accuracy, conformity, and errors
• Assisting in the preparation of construction specifications and material lists
• Coordinating with engineers, project managers, and other team members regarding drawing requirements
• Revising drawings based on feedback, project updates, and site conditions
• Operating CADD and related computer software systems, including AutoCAD


Required Qualifications

• Completion of a college diploma or certificate in drafting, design technology, or a related field is required
• A university degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field may also be considered
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related drafting or design role
• English language ability required
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), AutoCAD, MS Office, and Windows-based systems
