Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $28.00~$35.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 2
• Work Location: 10-4890 Rutherford Road, Nanaimo, BC V9T 4Z4

Benefits:

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook foods on a regular basis
• Plan menus and ensure products meet quality control standards
• Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen workers
• Direct cooks in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
• Analyze and estimate operating and labour costs
• Keep records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
• Arrange for kitchen equipment purchases and repairs
• Recruit and train kitchen staff as necessary

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
