Job Description:

This company is looking for two full-time Cooks (Curry) to join its team as soon as possible.

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook a range of Indian curry dishes, such as butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, paneer tikka masala, and chana masala.

• Prepare specialty curry dishes according to recipes and the chef’s directions, accommodating customer preferences, allergies, and religious restrictions.

• Ensure consistency in flavour, quality, texture, appearance, and serving portions of all curry dishes.

• Use and operate kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, and equipment required for curry preparation.

• Handle daily curry preparation and cooking duties with minimal supervision.

• Check stock availability and arrange timely replenishment of spices, vegetables, meats, and required ingredients.

• Estimate ingredient quantities and food preparation costs to reduce wastage and manage expenses.

• Contribute to menu planning and arrange curry dishes for buffet service and takeout orders.

• Store ingredients appropriately and follow established food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures.

• Keep kitchen surfaces, cooking utensils, and equipment clean and sanitary to maintain a safe working environment.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma is required.

• 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a related field.
