Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage daily transportation operations, coordinate shipments, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor logistics of the movement of parts, supplies and materials within an establishment and ensure that supplies, materials, and products are shipped and received on schedule.
- Logistics planning and coordination with drivers, customers and management.
- Managing and adding carrier to Orbis Express carrier list upon approval from logistics manager and senior management
- Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.
- Prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of work, materials used, rated of production and other production information
- Communicating the information between drivers and recipients regarding ETA and potential delays.
- Evaluating problematic situations to solve issues and to improve the service levels.
- Developing plans with team to minimise service failure, maintaining records of damaged, goods, cancelled orders, missing information.
- Supporting development of training materials and manuals for new team members.
- Report all issues to the logistics manager and/ or senior management, such as customer complaints, delays, accidents, damaged goods, security, and temperature issues etc.
- Address customer complaints and follow up in telephone and email enquiries and responding as necessary.
Qualifications
- 1-7 months of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination
- Strong knowledge of freight operations and cross-border shipping processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
