Locations: 40326 Range Road 27-5 (S4 W) & 40315 Range Rd 27-5 (S4 E), Lacombe, AB T4L 2N2

Salary: $18.34 hourly / 40 to 52 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime required

Starts as soon as possible

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience: Experience an asset

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work site environment: At heights, Wet/damp, Hot, Non-smoking

Work setting: Rural area, Public transportation is not available

Type of product: Hydroponic horticultural products, Vegetables

Type of crops: Bell peppers, Cucumbers, Greenhouse tomatoes, Greenhouse vegetables, Tomatoes

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Large workload, Attention to detail

Weight handling; Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Job Duties

·         Clean the crops

·         Cut horticultural crops

·         Deleaf agricultural crops to accelerate ripening

·         Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots

·         Greenhouse cleaning

·         Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions

·         Hand harvesting vegetables

·         Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes

·         Remove manually all suckers

·         Tie and secure plants

·         Plant bulbs and seeds

·         Report signs of insect or disease damage

.         Clean work area
